Web Specialist
 
A Typical Week May Look Like This…
  • Support the development, testing, user interface design and maintenance of AFP’s website and user-facing applications.
  • Develop digital products and user experiences that meet the needs of the membership and the public.
  • Ensure that a consistent and positive user experience is achieved, content is relevant, and updates are made in a timely fashion.
  • Stay up to date on platform best practices and content consumption trends.
  • Gather, monitor, and report on metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with support teams to identify functionality problems and create strategies to fix them.
  • Create graphic and visual artifacts such as user research reports, protypes, process flows and wireframes.
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation on design assumptions, application requirements and specifications, business logic, training materials, help text and release notes.
  • Work with other departments to launch new or large-scale web projects, and act as AFP’s liaison with outside vendors.
Other Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience building web content via HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Products or other visual design software and wireframing tools preferred, but not required.
